Boom Trike Low Rider-2014-Tachometer problem

Post by JohnnyVDA »

Hi, I have a Boom Low Rider 2014 with Ford Zetec 1600cc engine. The Tachometer no longer indicates the RPM (meter is not moving) but still has light when turning on main lights. Any one an idea where to search or I need to replace the tachometer ?

hi the tacho gets its signal from the ignition ,on older engines that would be from the ignition coil so i presume yours will come from the engine managment i would get hold of a wiring diagram and trace it back to find a bad connection or broken wire etc hope this helps if all checks out try another tacho

Also check fuse f9 as that comes off the tacho sensor
