Suggestions for a large BIIIIG dummy tank.

Howdy all.

I'm after a really big ass tank as a dummy.
I'm going to put my instruments in it.

Any suggestions ???

How big ass do you want to go? I suppose you could try Harley tanks, the ones with a strip that covers the gap between the left & right tanks and make a metal strip as wide as you need?

Make your own,fibreglass.Or buy fibreglass dummy tank & adapt it.

Harley tanks cost mega, once spotted one half at a auto jumble. He wanted £250

You wouldn't need/want genuine Harley tanks if you're going to cut instrument holes in them because you're right, they're stupid money. I haven't looked but suspect there are cheapo Indian or Chinese made versions? Unlikely they're as well made but wouldn't be holding petrol.
I suppose the OP could visit a breakers, pick out something that looks right and cut & widen it?

Right, I've dug out a new tank that I never used. I got it for one of my harley sportster. It's a 18 lt tank and is ok to cut about.
