Re: Caravan weight
Bit of googling and presto - http://www.boom-trikes.com/index.php/te ... -1798.html
Looks like a caravan will be waaaay over permissible capacity! I guess braking capability of a trike is much more limited compared to a car with 4 wheel braking and weight distribution!

Re: Caravan weight
There is no hard and fast legal stipulations on towing weights, for trikes.
It just comes down to being sensible. Plod will know if it is not sensible, you will get pulled and then have to argue the toss.
I would say the 750Kg, that is braked, should be the benchmark.
Also keep an eye on the "nose weight" of the trailer. You do not want too much weight bearing down on the towbar, and the front end getting light.

Bikers know why dogs stick their head out of car windows.

Re: Caravan weight
The general rule for a braked trailer is max 80% of the weight of the towing vehicle but thats for a 4 wheeled and 4 braked towing vehicle.

Went down to Paignton on the goldwing trike 12 years ago and there was a reliant trike towing a converted reliant van (front end removed) he used for sleeping in.
