Air suspension for trike

Any companies out there who supply suitable kits or fit?

maybe hagon worth a try is your trike car based if so look at the model and whats available ,i seam to remember American chopper did an air ride so must be available.

i would think it would be very possible to do on misty just use the bags and check valves and a 12v compressor to pump it up the 1500gw has 1 air suspension shock with a pump as standard

I'm modifying the Seating on the Trike I'm working on, using a Suspension Airbag from a car.
I'll be using a 12V Tyre inflator for the Pressure source, and a small Steel Tank for the Reservoir, most likely an old Fire Extinguisher or Scuba Bottle.
Pressure control will be through a Pneumatic Valve Assembly.
The parts aren't expensive, and it's easy to connect it all up with plastic push-fit Fittings and plastic Pneumatic Tubing.

Basically two types of 'Bags'.
1. The 'Universal' type . . .


2. The type used on most cars with Air Suspension . . .


Around £30 each for both types.

Control Valves are around £20.

Fittings/Connectors are pretty cheap.
Around £3-5 each.




Tubing is dirt cheap, around £1.5 per metre

You'd still need Dampers of course, but they're not expensive either.

If I was doing Suspension, rather than just making a Seat more comfy, I'd probably go for a better Pump Unit.
Having said that, it's not working all the time.
Once you have the pressure needed in the Bags, the Pump's doing nothing, as long as the System is fully leak-free.
You might give it a tweak now and then for different road conditions or loads (passengers, Luggage, Trailer etc), but it shouldn't need a heavy-duty Compressor.
