Hi all,
Come to rebuild my awful brakes and have noticed that the brake cylinders are supposed to float?
My Brake lines to the cylinders are solid pipe.
Surely the lines to the cylinders should be flexible? Or am I missing something?

Floating as in not bolted but the clips hold them fairly well fixed in place so hard lines are fine.

Thanks for the reply.
Not convinced that this works correctly so this is what I've changed it to. Taking off the solid brake pipes definitely has allowed the cylinder to move more so hopefully won't stick anymore

I’d say they are meant to float, so the slave can centre itself as the brake shoes move and wear. It doesn’t move very far, but the flexi should help.
