MOT Gloucester area

Post by livingthedream »

I finally found a place that will MOT my Harley Tri Glide Ultra which is a class 4 MOT.
Nigel Scotfold, Station Road, South Woodchester, Stroud. Trike needed a new front tyre and pads which I had previously purchased but they said they don't do mechanical work. After phoning around half a dozen m/cycle places no one will do the work 😞 . So I bit the bullet and went over to Harley dealership in Cheltenham. Booked a date only to be told they don't fit 3rd party items. Seems they order them in, at price no doubt. Do here I am wondering who the heck in Gloucester area can change my front tyre as well as all the pads. If anyone has any advice I am all ears. I am not mechanically minded, nor have the tools to remove the wheels o.k.
Thanks.

That’s pretty grim if a normal bike shop can’t, or won’t, do this kind of work. Hopefully someone in the forum lives nearby and can have a look.

See if any Harley dealers will do it, and take a nice day trip to them, plus don't use Cheltenham for any work or parts.
Check out Zodiac Harley parts as they are normally sold by independent bike shops.
Use there site to find custom workshops in the UK.

I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Hi guys, i bought a front tyre from ebay for the divvy & had my local car tyre shop change it for me. ATS Euromaster are a nationwide chain & very helpful. Just took the front wheel into them & they fitted it no problem. I also had new rear tyres fitted to both our XVS's by the same place but at a different time. Just give them a call. Good luck. Bob.

If ATS don't work out then you'll have to start looking further and further away, trying every single tyre/car/bike/agricultural place you can find.
Are there any mobile fitters in your area?
