I have built a trike Triumph America but I am getting wobble on the front wheel, I fitted a Tec adjustable steering damper this has reduced the wobble but its not perfect. I am thinking of fitting a Avon Cobra Chrome Trike front tyre but at £176.00
I would like to be sure it would solve the problem particularly as the profile appears to be similar to the tyre I already have.
Has anybody tried this tyre?

A tyre - sometimes - reduces shake to acceptable levels but could be expensive for no significant change. It's usually down to front end geometry to ultimately cure shake

Hi peterbaker, i fitted Avon Cobra Trike tyres to both our trikes & they certainly made a big difference. Having spoken to the tech team at Avon, they explained that the sidewall compound in the Cobra is much stronger than an ordinary bike tyre. This allows the tyre to be run at lower pressure for better handling on standard geometry bike derived trikes. I certainly found this to be true for ours. Hope this helps mate. Bob.
