Well Glenn, great build coming along, and you got a bargin with the bike ,
BUT I,ll tell you what to own a bike for 14 years and put on just over a thousand miles a year is feckin sacrilidge,
Might as well own a photo of the bike n walk round the block every weekend looking at it, he would get about the same mileage at a fraction of the cost LOL!!!!!!

Just one comment on your axle glennuk, unless you add some bracing, its likely to bend. Admittedly its a sprung back end, which will help some, but the tubes on a reliant axle need to be loaded further out towards the hubs.
You'd be surprised how thin those tubes really are.

Yes the mounts are as far out as possible as I said earlier the side you see has to be shortened (due to running diff inline) plus the axle mounts will spread the load over a minimum of 75mm per side

Here's the latest update on dragstar trike build the second full day got about 19hrs in it so far
Saturday I matched the right hand to the left side then drilled the first 2 of the axle mounting plates and tacked them in place after lining everything up again then cut the left side of the axle down.
There are 2 ways to do this die hards say you should remove the tube cut it down re machine it then press it back in sound easy till you look on the net and read of loads of people cracking the diff cases so I have gone with the safe option of cutting the tube V it then sleeve it then tig it up .i Have cut the half shaft ready for shortening got to machine up some parts for the drive shaft and propshaft .if I get these done in the week should be nearly complete next weekend ready for strip down and welding up and paint then decide on what mudguards to use
